Our division compfises of 4 sections with 84 members. Our week—end- meetings are held as usual, mainly emphasized on First Aid and Nursing. Other Proficiency Subjects such as Marching, Camping, Signalling, cycling and Natural History of St. John are also being conducted.
Our division, being the organiser of the 3rd U.U.C.C., held at Telok—Bandung from 21st — 24th Nov., 1982. We had carried out this activity smoothly with the assistance from the other units and the co—operation of the campers. On behalf of the organising committee and campers, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Principal and all those who had lent a helping hand in one way or another to. .make,,the camp a great success. I am glad that our members had succeeded'in winning the camp for their superb perfor¬mance.
" SERVICE OF MANKIND " is one of our mottos. During the mid—year, the acting Director of Sarawak Medical Services, Dr. Stalin Hardin, who is also the Deputy Commander of the St. John Ambulance organised a community project which was carried out by the members of the unit. Under this "Hospital Vonluntary Serivces" project, the members were urged to check vandalism at the Sarawak General Hospital. Besides, the members also obtained the opportunity of applying their knowledge of first aid to the casualties under the supervision of qualified medical staff.
To conclude, on behalf of our members, I would like to thank our patron, Mr. Wong Mee King, Corp—superintendent, Mr. Poon, teacher—in—charge, Mr. Yeo, officers, committee members for their guidance and help to make our division runs smoothly and efficiently.
Lastly, a statement to all members, keep up the St. John spirit : "FOR THE FAITH & FOR THE SERVICE OF MANKIND".
